Have you ever noticed how some actors always play themselves on the screen?

The worst offenders in my books are, Jack Nicholson (same in interviews as he is on screen) Jim Carey (stuck in rubber face mode ALWAYS), keanu Reeves (Enough said, no Charisma) and Gwyneth Palthrow (Never does power scenes, facial expressions of a dead nit) Whatever the film its a different costume & hair but same person shining through, to me it screams hollywood bake a star—–the ones that cut it for me are truly great like of Meryl Streep (So Diverse & mesmerizing) helen Mirrem, (Can do any Character) Halle berry, (stunning and talented at the same time) Tom Hanks, (funny but can deliver powerful performances) Julia Roberts (one of the greatest actresses of our time) they make every character completely unlike themselves, whats the worst offenders in your eyes, don’t even get me on Jude Law or Cameron Diaz the Grinner.

there are very few character actors in hollywood, most are cast based on looks or charisma (they can sell tickets) julia roberts is not a good actress and she definatly did not deserve an oscar for erin brokovich she got that only because she is america’s darling… ashton kutcher is an obvious choice for playing himself (just watch anything he is in)…scarlett johansson always has the exact same facial expression in every scene not just every movie ( you know that whol doe eyed i have know idea what is happenning here look) …great actors at the other end are the character actors paul giammatti, johhny depp, and well heath ledger
