Tom Hanks Book List

Do you all realize that the DaVinci code is fiction?
The author says so,the experts say so.Even Tom Hanks says so.
Why the heck does the Vatican think it is so wrong to see the movie?
I thought we were above this but we seem to be going back in time to when the church had a list of banned books and eventually movies.
well as I am a catholic is the vatican the”boss of me”?
UUhhh probably right?
AMEN! I am Catholic and when I went to Mass this past weekend, my priest was basically lecturing about how we wouldn’t be “bearing fruit” in our religious lives if we supported the book/movie and how only the weak would succomb to curiosity and see the movie, blah blah blah.
IT’S A BOOK! I wanted to yell out in the middle of his homily, but I kept it to myself and just shared my thought with my brother sitting next to me.
I think it’s ridiculous. It’s pure entertainment – those who truly believe in God and are even semi-strong in their faith will not believe that there is a direct line of descendants from Jesus Christ – it’s FICTION. Entertainment. Better to have some sort of non-blatantly disrespectful religious fiction to debate about and to hopefully make us more strong in our faith, than movies and books about prostitutes and gangs and drug dealers that have nothing to do with our faith.
Whew. Can you tell I’ve been waiting to let that out?! lol
Great question!

A year to the day after Harrison’s November 29, 2001 death, Eric Clapton assembled some musicians–people who had played with Harrison and known him intimately, in… |

Harvest Moon $5.54 When Neil Young seems about to zig, he zags. Two years after 1990′s loud Ragged Glory, he retreats to an old world of steel guitars, gentle folk melodies, and pristine country choruses. (That’s Linda Ronstadt, who helped make 1972′s Harvest a hit album, singing backup on the follow-up.) Young name-drops Hank Williams, Jimi Hendrix, and his old dog, King, in rich reminiscences about the musical rid… |
