why do women like chick flicks ?

i get to watch them because my wife likes them and i can say almost without exeption they are sloppy predictable pap.

they all star one of the following hugh grant,j lo,that one off of et,tom hanks or if they want someone shouty adam sandler oh and mathew mcgonaghey(maybe i dont know)

The story then unfolds as follows:

girl meets boy – girl mostly hates boy and some times boy hates girl as well – girl gets to know boy a bit better – with the aid/interferance of some comedy ‘friend’, boy shows that underneath hes really a nice person – by then, most of the time the boy thinks hes blown it and chases after the girl who has mostly met some handsome but really unsuitable stranger by this time – they get together kiss the end

its just wrong – discuss

The films appeal to our romantic sides that we don’t get from our own guys. I’ll give you credit though, at least you watch them with your wife, my husband won’t come within 10 feet of a chick flick, lol
