will arrive at JFK airport 10pm, have connecting flight at 8am. but what can i do in between?

will be arriving at jfk airport around 10pm (international flight) and i have an international connecting flight at a different terminal also at jfk around 8 am. i was told that jfk is a 24/7 airport but what is there to do if i can’t sleep anymore, if i do feel sleepy is it safe and is there any comfortable place there where i can sleep?are the shops open? it reminds me of the tom hanks movie “terminal”

What can look forward to in the airport?

* frequent announcements
* benches are cold
* bright seats with armrests
* WiFi
* CNN blasting

The article say if you need a warm place, Terminal 4 has “luxurious” carpeted area upstairs.

If you leave the airport, just make sure you budget enough time to catch your flight and pray its not delayed by the weather as the place you stayed price is going to jump sky high or has no vacancy.
