2. Little Miss Sunshine – This movie centers on an endearingly ailing old yellow Volkswagen T2 Microbus owned by a dysfunctional family, the Hoovers, who live in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Seven-year-old Olive is set on attending a beauty pageant in California, so the whole family – Olive and her mom Sheryl, dad Richard, and gothic brother Dwayne who refuses to speak – piles into the bus, along with Sheryl’s homosexual brother Frank, who recently tried to commit suicide, and Richard’s foul-mouthed father, played by Alan Arkin. As you can imagine, this all makes for an interesting journey, especially when the bus’s brakes begin to play up.

3. A League of Their Own – In this movie, you’ll see members of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League on their New York charter bus, traveling from one city to the next to play baseball and entertain the crowds at baseball stadiums during World War II, when all the men are off to war. The League takes off, and soon, it’s time for the Championship game of the World Series, featuring rival teams the Rockford Peaches against the Racine Belles. The film contains an all-star cast – Geena Davis, Lori Petty, Tom Hanks, Madonna, and Rosie O’Donnell – and is sure to have you on the edge of your charter bus service seat, cheering and weeping.
