After he won a few Oscars, did Tom Hanks just stop trying to win them?
He’s the greatest actor of this generation and yet, after he won two years in a row for Philadelphia and Forrest Gump, he just stopped trying. I think he got screwed at the Oscars in 99 (He should have won for Saving Private Ryan). Looking at his upcoming movies (Toy Story 3, the second sequel to the Davinci Code) it seems like he doesn’t want anymore.
Oh and he also got screwed in 2000 with Castaway
