SEEMS SOMETHING MISSING.I DIDN,T LIKE FOREST GUMP AT ALL.IT WAS A BASELESS MOVIE.HOW CAN A MAN RUN AROUND THE NATION FOR NOTHING.TERMINAL WAS GOOD BUT AMELIA DIDIN,T GO WITH TOM TO KRAKOZHIA.THAT WHY I DON,T LIKE IT EITHER.

Forrest gump is my favorite movie of all time. and yes it does have an extremely important base to it.

Forrest was a person who struggled with his mental dissablity his whole life and the movie was created to give hope and equality to those who also live under the same conditions.

Tom hanks did a great job not exploiting people with mental retardation, but did very well making the movie entertaining without making fun of people.

I cry every time i watch that movie. EVERY TIME. when he stands at jenny grave and gives her the letter that little forrest wrote to her and cries and says “hes really smart jenny” i just lose it.

I have worked with many people who have developmental issues in one way or another and specialize in persons with MR. I have cousins in the same boat and find this work to be wonderful and this movie to be very uplifting to their spirits.

Also, if you watch the movie, and ever attended highschool, you will laugh at all the historical spoofs they put into the movie. Like when hes on the talk show with josh lennon and hes discribing vietnam and john says “thay have no posessions, and no religion too?” thats funny. and when hes at the hotel and he witnesses the watergate scandal. they play “free bird” in that movie a handfull of times. I think its really funny that at the beginning of the movie dorthy harris (the bus driver) is smoking when she picks up forrest, and when she picks up little forrest at the end of the movie, she isn’t smoking. it shows how different life is now, and how laws and things have changed. you need to watch the movie, and if you have indeed studied history in highschool, you will laugh out loud on some parts.

like when hes running and he steps in a pile of poop, and then the guy behind himsays “hey man you just stepped in a huge pile of *$%* and he says “it happens”. so the guy makes all those bumper stickers and things that say *^$& happens.

I just go through all the emotions watching this movie. It can never be improved upon. I think its perfect.

you need to watch it, with history book in hand, and you will find there is a actual base to the movie, and it is in face funny. Is completely packed full of things to make you “remember when”.

and elvis comes through their bed and breakfast…. funny funny funny

just watch it, and all the parts that you dont get, google, and you will find them funny
