After Larry Crowne (Hanks), a middle-aged man, is terminated from his job, he goes back to college, where he unexpectedly forms bonds with his fellow students and a romantic relationship with Mercedes Tainot, a professor (Roberts).[3] Hanks’s joint screen-writer, Vardalos, also appears in the film in a yet to be revealed role.

Well, interestingly enough, “Larry Crowne” marks the second feature film from director … Tom Hanks. “Larry Crowne” doesn’t have much a plot summary right now, but from what the trailer tells us, Hanks plays the title role of a slightly clueless but charismatic middle-aged man laid off his job and forced to take classes to earn a degree if he wants to get better work. He attends a public speaking class taught by a bit a malcontented Julia Roberts and the two somehow connect and life is changed, yadda yadda. No sense of conflict, but how bad could this movie be? Taraji P. Henson also co-stars.
