What does additional child performer mean in a movie?
i was watching the polar express and i knew that josh hutcherson played hero boy. i was looking at the credts and it first sayed tom hanks played the hero boy’s voice and then it said josh hutcherson is the additional child perfformer of the hero boy. what does that mean? wich person played the hero boy? does that mean they mixed tom and josh’s voice together to make the hero boy’s voice? i cant find answers of this on the internet anywhere!
Polar express was made with a technique where it was filmed as a live action film and the result then digitally manipulated into a cartoon. As Tom Hanks played 6 parts, perhaps Josh Hutcherson played him only in scenes where Hanks was playing another role.
IMDB credits Daryl Sabara as hero boys voice.
